Pink Elephant {Baby Shower}

When given the option to select the theme for a baby shower our friend was giving I was flooded with ideas. I knew I wanted to use gray, it is the trendest neutral, and pink for a baby girl. I thought of a sweetest thing theme using candy or cute as a button with yarn and buttons, but we decided on baby elephants and chevrons. Instead of doing gray elephants and pink chevron I thought reverse that and have pink elephants and gray chevron. The final cake and cupcakes were so super cute and the cake topper was just precious.

Yellow and Gray Cupcake Display {Wedding Cupcakes}

Gray is the new neutral and yellow is a perfect sunny addition. The color combination looks great used here on this wedding cake/cupcake display. The cake is clean and classic, allowing the yellow ruffle sugar with a vintage gray button flower to be the focal point. The cupcakes are also adorned with a gray vintage button. The white ceramic tree stump stand (from BHLDN) is the perfect piece to display them on. I fell in love with the stand the first time I saw it and felt it would be the perfect addition to a dessert table, used a cupcake stand (shown here), or to display a tiered wedding cake.

Yellow and Gray Wedding Inspiration

I have been learning to use Photoshop to make photo collages to help inspire future brides. I have finally figured it out enough to be able to show off a wedding cake design of ours along with other coordinating wedding elements. This inspiration board was created to show one of the latest color combinations for weddings... yellow and gray. We created a 3 tier cake covered in a gray fondant and accented with white polka dots and whimsical yellow flowers. The design is modern and playful. The photos surrounding the cake are great ideas of how to incorporate the color scheme in all areas of your wedding. I really love the idea of photographing the rings on smooth gray rocks wrapped in yellow ribbons and the great gray clutch with the amazing broach.
